Summer Fun in the Blue Ridge Area

The National Parks Service is celebrating the Blue Ridge Parkway's 75th anniversary this year.  Only 45 minutes from The Huffman House at Creekside Farm, the parkway offers visitors a chance to slow down and enjoy the scenery, visit wineries, go hiking or birding.  Visit www.blueridgeparkway75.org or www.virginia.org/brp for a lisitng of events.
The Blue Ridge Quilt Festival (www.BRQFestival.com) will be held Friday & Saturday, June 18 & 19 at the Blacksburg Middle School only 20 minutes from the Huffman House.
Sponsored by Virginia Tech and the Town of Blacksburg, The Summer Arts Festival 2010(www.sopac.vt.edu) offers concerts, theater productions, special events,classic movies and art exhibits throughout the summer.
